I’m a Canadian entrepreneur who recently relocated to NYC as an “extraordinary alien” to chase my dreams in design, sports and footwear.
Alien is a term for non-residents, often used as a slur. But this collection reclaims it for good. All global citizens are aliens and extraordinary in different ways. This collection is gender neutral and was also inspired by the ocean as we’ve only explored 5%, making it more “alien” than the moon. I will be making a donation to ACLU to help protect fellow aliens from the proceeds from this collection.
Inspired by the clownfish and how it achieves harmony in the ocean by partnering with sea anemones to protect one other, much like how residents and aliens must work as one to achieve balance. The blue, black and orange upper represent the clownfish living amongst the deep blue sea while the gum sole links it to earth and the rest of the collection.
The shoes are available from October 15th to October 21st from Cultivator.
